As screenshots from the recently released alpha build of Microsoft Office 14 (which will probably be named Microsoft Office 2009) have emerged, something really interesting has come across, namely Mobile Office Device. It seems to create a portable version of an MS Office application – in this case Word – to be stored and run from a USB memory-stick. More on that – and a snazzy video – here.

MS Excel 2007 Chart Advisor

Microsoft has released Chart Advisor, an add-in with MS Excel 2007 for Windows, that lets the user receive suggestions on what charts could be applicable to certain data types. Nice – if it were in working condition.
