In December 2009, a major vulnerability was discovered in Rockyou.com. By examining a hacker’s blog, a major vulnerability was discovered that led to the breach of 32 million passwords and the hacker posted to the Internet the full list of the 32 million passwords (with no other identifiable information). This is a little post about that.

If you are all “Google Chrome? What? I use Firefox all the way!” I’d strongly advise you to read this post. Firefox is great, but sluggish when using it for too long/with too many add-ons/with too many tabs open at once; you might want to consider moving to Google Chrome, now that extensions are available for it.
