Timbro tankesmedja – intellectual death

Thursday, October 13th, 2005

Tiina Rosenberg has now left the board of Fi, has reported an indirect threat made by Timbro tankesmedja (=a right-winged Swedish, Rush Limbaugh-type of organisation) to the police, and…it’s interesting to see that there is an anti-intellectual organisation devoted to spewing right-winged propaganda, without demand for the truth. Oh, did I mention a member of Timbro tankesmedja thinks McDonalds or the duo Dubya/Blair should have won the Nobel Peace Prize? Read out. They’re magic.

Gender-based hatred in Sweden

Tuesday, October 11th, 2005

As people keep hounding the members of Feministiskt Initiativ (Fi), Tiina Rosenberg is probably the most attacked member, altogether (with the possible exception being Gudrun Schyman). Now, she’s unjustly being accused of cheating, when attaining her professorship in Gender Sciences. The person who attacks her also attacks the Swedish government, and all because of one single sentence in one of her books – which her attacker seems to have read erroneously. This would be funny if Rosenberg hasn’t been haunted enough to now make her think of quitting Fi.
