“The Corporation” for free! Get it now!

The Corporation

Absolutely brilliant, the radiant documentary “The Corporation“, has been released free of charge for anybody to download, very legal indeed! Get it now.

Check out everything about this, right here.

I actually bought this gem on DVD when it came out, and I’m very happy owning it; it is one of the best documentaries on the global problem that faces the world when corporations get too much power, not only in the USA (where a corporation has the very same rights an individual has, believe it or not) but in the rest of the world, and how corporations benefit from not having to pay for “their” actions. Among the interviewees are Noam Chomsky, Naomi Klein and Robert Hare; believe me, there is a perfectly logical reason to why Mr. Hare is in this documentary.

From Torrentfreak on the matter:

The Corporation received more than 20 awards, including an audience award at the the prestigious Sundance Film Festival. The Film gives insight into the inner workings of large and powerful corporations, and how these affect our society.

The new torrent download includes a high-quality rip of the master DVD and a 40 minute interview with Joel Bakan, the author of the book and writer of the film. Mark Achbar actually dedicated a computer in his garage to do nothing but seed.

Although the torrent download is free, the filmmakers encourage people to donate a small fee if they like what they see.

    Thanks for the support Niklas.

Before this release, over half a million people had already downloaded The Corporation. My point in re-releasing it was to control the quality, promote the DVD, and add a message that the filmmakers, after almost 9 years of work, would appreciate some financial support from downloaders. Since this release on Nov 23, 90 people——1.4% of 6,200 new downloaders——have made contributions totalling $734.50. What do you make of that?

    Hello, Mark!

I may sound like a tinfoil hat conspirator, but I think people are very into grabbing and not giving at the moment, and that only the big cats, e.g. the corporations and companies that can afford to lose loads of money without really bleeding, can really make money when releasing a product commercially.

As your own documentary shows, some people are doing things to change the way people view these matters. I’m not saying bleeding financially for the sake of enlightening people (which I don’t assume is why you made the documentary) is required of anybody who wants to create something that I feel is a true, heartfelt matter, but that I think making no money is a sign of the times, and I sincerely hope that’s going to turn soon. Ironically, a psychopath would try to make money by any means to get by, while people with conscience and heart don’t want to exploit others to sell their merchandise, much like a drug-dealer; of course this is completely in parallel with your documentary, comparing corporations with psychopaths.

I can’t tell you how much I admire you and your partners for putting this documentary together, that I think shows injustice in a sublime way, making people think by showing them the truth. I hope you get a lot more money by sharing the film, but really, what I think you instead will get due to your releasing this film for free, is immense good-will and – hopefully – the right pairs of eyes opening that will allow for financing your eventual future documentaries. You guys are most definitely needed, and I do know you need food on your plates as well – I hope you get all you deserve, and that’s a lot.
